Huron County OPP is seeking public assistance in connection with the theft of pigs.

Officers were contacted this week by a farmer who reported the theft of 44 pigs from his barn on North Line.

It has been determined that between March 1, 2022 and June 21, 2022, unknown persons attended the barn and stole 44 pigs.

The weight of the pigs ranged from anywhere between 60 and 200 pounds.

The total estimated value of the stolen pigs is $12,000.

Huron County OPP are asking the public for assistance in this investigation, and if anyone has any information they are asked to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122, or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
