Huron County receives $90,000 Grant to Create Digital Services Squad

Team would help business adopt online technology and digitally transform sales

Huron County’s Economic Development Department in partnership with it’s nine local municipalities, eleven Business Improvement Areas and other business groups have been announced on the receiving end of a sizable grant.

The group has received a $90,000 grant from the Digital Main Street’s Ontario Grants Progrma for the creation of a Digital Service Squad.

This would provide trained digital specialists to help local small businesses adopt online technologies and digitally transform their sales, marketing and back office operations.

The Squad will cover Bluewater, Central Huron, Morris-Turberry and South Huron as well as the Town of Goderich, Township of North Huron, Howick and Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh.
