Huron County sent out a remind to those property owners or activity organizers that the next deadline for applications to the Huron Heritage Fund is May 1st, 2022.
The fund was established in 2007 with the purpose of encouraging the preservation of heritage assets and activities of heritage importance in the County of Huron.
Sites and events supported by the fund in the past include the Van Egmond Foundation, Bayfield Historical Society, local Historical publications and Huron Perth Junior Farmers.
The fund offers a County contribution of up to 50% of the costs of the project up to a maximum of $5,000. The fund encourages both groups and individuals to invest in Huron County’s heritage as well.
