The Township of Huron-Kinloss has instituted a lawn watering & car washing ban for users of the Lakeshore Municipal Drinking water system.
The ban is being put in place immediately due to necessary maintenance of the system and increased demand due to lawn watering.
Residents may experience low water pressure at times of excessive demand.
The area affected spans from Amberly Beach Road in the south to Saratoga Road in the north; Lake Huron shoreline in the west to Lake Range Road in the east.
It also includes users of the Ashfield-Huron boundary road to the Amberley General Store and users of the Township of ACW on Amberley Road.
There are set fines for violation of the ban. It is in place until further notice.
