The Huron County Museum will be hosting an event that will help us understand more about historical clothing or help us date an old family photo.

The event, entitled “Forgotten: People & Portraits of the County” will see costume designer and vintage store owner Jennifer Triemstra-Johnston reveal how clothes have their own story. It is set for Saturday, March 5th starting at 1pm.

Using photographs and artifacts in the Museum’s collection, she will outline the relationship between fashion history, advertising, photographs and articles of clothing that you can use to better research and date personal and social histories.

Space is limited. Cost is $15 plus tax for admission or $10 for Museum Members. For more information and to register for the event visit the link below.

To save Eventbrite fees and book over the phone you can call 519-524-2686 during Museum hours.
