Huron OPP Impaired Charges Rise for Third Year in a Row in 2021

Regionally the number of impaired charges across the West Region rose 2% last year with the average across the 14 West Region Detatchments sitting at 106.

The Huron County OPP has recorded an increase once again in the number of impaired operation charges for the 2021 calendar year.

The force finished at 102 driver who were charged compared with 93 in 2020, an increase of 10%.

This is the third year in a row that police have seen an increase in the numbers.

Regionally the number of impaired charges across the West Region rose 2% last year.

The average number of Impaired Operation charges for the fourteen West Region Detatchments was 106.
