The Huron Shores Hospice is gearing up once again for their annual Hike for Hospice next month.

Taking place on May 11th the Hike will have multiple routes hikers can go on from short walks to longer hikes.

The hike starts at the Davidson Centre in Kincardine at 9:30am.

All proceeds from the event goes back to supporting the Hospice and providing end of life care for residents.

Will Legrand with the Huron Hospice says the Hike is a great way for them to meet a required amount of fundraising they need to do.

“We have to fundraise over $300,000 a year. We do that from business and corporate sponsors or generate funds from our events like the Hike for Hospice or Handbags for Hospice Gala event we host in the fall” said Legrand.

Last year the event set a goal of $45,000 but in the end the goal was smashed with everyone raising over $59,000.

Hikers can register now and start collecting pledges leading up to event on May 11th.
