Two local businesses made a donation to the Huron Shores Hospice.

The first was Miller Insurances Brokers who were on-site at the facility today to deliver their $4,000 donation to the Hospice in memory of Doug Storrey to Hospice Co-Chair Cheryl Cottrill.

Storrey was a partner at Miller Insurance for 43 years.

He was on countless community committees including the Walker House, Kincardine Cruise Night and Silver Lake Camp.

Staff of Miller Insurance asked that the donation be used to support a family’s future stay at their facility.

The next stop was at office of Royal LePage Exchange Reality.

Realtor Keith Battler and wife Linda presented a cheque to Cottrill for $1,000.

The donation represents the amount pledged to the hospice in memory of Marie Wilson who spent her final days of her life at the hospice.

Cottrill says the hospice does so much for the community and the two donations shows for much the hospice means to the community.

Cottrill says they can’t say enough thank yous to both the Battlers and Miller Insurance for their caring and generous support of the community Hospice.
