Local representatives came together on Tuesday at the newly renovated Bruce Power Visitor’s Centre to learn about the economic impact of clean energy on the region. The aptly titled “Impact in Action” event highlighted the effects Bruce Power and its clean energy supplies have on the communities in Bruce, Grey & Huron Counties and on the province of Ontario.
With the Major Component Replacement project at Bruce Power in full swing, the Clean Energy Frontier region has continued to experience sustained growth. This has meant more local investment and businesses establishing roots, which translated into job opportunities through the region and millions in municipal tax revenue which is being reinvested into local communities.
There was an economic impact report launched at the event entitled “Who wins with clean energy?” and in it was confirmation that there has never been a better time than now to becoming an entrepreneur in the Clean Energy Frontier region.
The day’s events concluded with a bus tour through the Bruce Power’s site, which are now available to the public via an online booking portal.
