This Sunday Autism Awareness Grey Bruce is set to hold its Inaugural Walk for Awareness at Saugeen District Senior School on Gustavus Street in Port Elgin.

The walk that gets underway at 11 am and runs to 1 pm is about building a network of people with children with autism for support says event organizer and parent with autistic child Eileen Gruberbauer.

“As a mom with a kid with autism we are always looking for ways to spend time with other folks like ourselves and just start to build a community.”

You don’t need to register to take part in the walk.

You can visit the Walk for Autism Awareness Grey Bruce on Facebook to donate.
