The South Bruce Grey Health Centre is holding a community information session next week about continuing hospital services in Chesley during the provincial nurse shortage.
The Chesley Emergency Department has been forced to close until Dec. 2 due to staffing shortages.
The health centre says they’re considering all options for how to provide consistent health care to the community, including switching some of the 11 emergency departments across Grey Bruce to urgent care centres that wouldn’t operate overnight.
Residents that want to know what’s going on with their hospital during this healthcare crisis can attend the information session on Tuesday, Oct. 18 at the Chesley Community Centre, starting at 7 p.m.
