Ontario’s integrity commissioner has found the province’s housing minister violated the integrity act in the government’s Greenbelt land swap.

Steve Clark has been found to have violated two sections of the Members Integrity Act which governs politicians ethics.

The Integrity Commissioner, J. David Wake found Clark failed to oversee the land selection process which led to private interests of certain developers being further improperly.

Wake adds Steve Clark should be punished for several decisions made which led to the improper result.

Last week, the Minister of Housing Chief of Staff resigned amidst the Greenbelt scandal.

Last year the province set 7400 acres of land in the Greenbelt to build 50,000 homes and replaced it with around 9400 acres somewhere else.

Opposition has been vocal during the entire scandal, calling for Steve Clarks resignation.
