With an investment from the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources, the Invasive Species Centre is calling on municipalities, conservation authorities and Indigenous communities to apply for funding.
Proposals for the Invasive Species Action Fund, is being taken to facilitate on the ground monitoring and management of critical invasive species in Ontario.
The Centre says invasive species are one of the top threats to biodiversity worldwide who impacts lakes, forests, cultural spaces and resources.
In Ontario its said invasive species are responsible for an estimated $3.6 billion dollars of impact every year.
Applications are being accepted until January 9th.
