Kincardine council has approved a $1.7 million contract for the extension of water and sewer services in town.
The extension is from Kincardine Avenue eastward across Highway 21 to Southline.
In a report to council Director of Infrastructure and Economic Development Adam Weishar says the tender results given to them were presented to council in December last year.
The tender was awarded to Omega Contractors Inc to the amount of $1,723,500.72.
The project is expected to start next month and will be completed in the late summer.
Some work has already started on the Staybridge Suites Hotel.
