The Municipality of Kincardine and Bruce Power continue to work towards a municipal water supply agreement for the company and have come to a point where all involved are comfortable with the proposed conditions.

Bruce Power would be responsible for all costs associated with becoming a water customer aside from any plant upgrades that are undertaken for future growth purposes by the Municipality.

The proposed agreement includes off-ramps built into it to allow either party to step back should there be concerns as designs & tendering advances following the completion of the environmental assessment.

The timeline for the project would be tendering in early 2024 with hopes to have Bruce Power connected in 2025.

The agreement comes up for consideration at the October 11th Council Meeting.
