COVID has once again forced the cancellation of the Kincardine Regional Silverstick tournament.

The event committee met on Sunday and decided to cancel this week’s tournament citing health and safety reasons.

Tournament director Derrick Burrows says teams were not sure about coming to Kincardine.

Burrows says while it’s disappointing not to hold the tournament for a second straight year, there is talk about moving the tournament in February if cases start to subside by then.

He says the year-end championships in Forest was postponed and organizers there are hoping to have it in March.
