Kincardine Council has approved a new conceptual design for the boardwalk on Station Beach.

Input was provided by the Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority, Lake Huron Coastal Centre, Kincardine Accessibility Advisory Committee, the Ad Hoc Pier Safety Committee and Municipal Staff.

Some design ideas for the concept includes lighting to respect the environment, maintain the existing feel of the boardwalk and area and to include parking upgrades.

GMBlueplan will now prepare tender drawings, construction specifications and a cost estimate with the project to be part of the 2025 capital program.
