The South Bruce Grey Health Centre – Kincardine will be closing their emergency department tonight due to a critical shortage of nurses.
The Kincardine ED will be closed from 5 p.m. tonight until 7 a.m. tomorrow (Saturday, Sept. 24).
The SBGHC says all efforts to find staffing have been undertaken without success.
This is the second ED closure for the health centre this weekend. They announced a shutdown of four straight days for the Chesley emergency department yesterday.
Ambulance by-pass will undertaken to divert patients to the nearest open ED.
