In an effort to help restore things to normal following the weekend blizzard, Kincardine Fire and Rescue has launched a contest to encourage residents to dig out fire hydrants.
Fincher’s has committed to donating three prizes to be raffled off to anyone who digs out a hydrant, takes a picture and posts it to social media (tagging the local fire department). They ask that you dig out enough space for crews to work – about three feet around – as well as a path from the road.
