The Kincardine Hospital Redevelopment Campaign is getting a boost from Bruce Power and its supply partners.
A total of $2 Million ($1.5 Million from Bruce Power, $500,000 from supply partners) is being donated that will go towards Phase One of the redevelopment project.
Bruce Power had earlier committed $1 Million to the hospital’s new CT scanner.
The campaign had set a goal of $12 Million to help cover the $65 Million cost of Phase One.
90 percent of the construction cost will be covered by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care.
This phase in the redevelopment will see the modernization and expansion of the hospital’s emergency department, improved diagnostic imaging, enhanced outpatient laboratory services and a new decontamination room.
