The Ontario Government is investing just under $74,000 to help the OPP in Kincardine and Huron County and the Town of Goderich to expand video surveillance programs and better protect their communities against gun & gang violence.

The funds are being delivered through the Ontario CCTV Grant Program.

Lisa Thompson, MPP for Huron-Bruce says the funding is welcome news for the area with her adding the program supports continued efforts to ensure people in the community can remain safe and have confidence in policing services.

The CCTV Grant was introduced in 23020 and since that time it has allocated $7.4 million in funding surveillance systems to police services across Ontario.
