The Kincardine Lions are to set celebrate 50 years as a club.
Over the last 50 years the Lions have kept busy supporting the community including the Lighthouse stairs, helped build the south boardwalk, fundraise for the north boardwalk and Lions Park at the Davidson Centre and now are working towards an All Wheels Park.
Chair of the Anniversary Committee for the Kincardine Lions, Dennis Flavell says its quite the milestone to reach and are proud to see the work they’ve done and in hand with the community.
“It’s quite a thing as we’ve looked at all the projects we’ve done in the past and we are really proud of everything we’ve done in Kincardine. Proud past and a bright future.” said Flavell.
To help ring in 50 years the Kincardine Lions will raising up a Lions flag and Canada flag on Friday at noon at the park at the Davidson Centre.
