The Kincardine Lions Club is currently undertaking a campaign to construct an All-Wheels Park at the Lions Park, just west of the Splash Pad, and beside the Davidson Centre.

The Lions Club has been working on improving the Park for over a decade with the most recent changes the slash pad, change rooms, and more. George Ling, PR Chairperson for the All-Wheels Park tells what the latest  project entails.

“We are going to add the skate park to address the 12 and up age group. We are converting the current skate park into basketball/all-use courts.”

The cost of the total project is estimated at $600,000.

The All-Wheel Park is $550,000 of that with the remaining $50,000 for peripherals and access.

The timeline they are hoping is to have it completed by the Club’s 50th Anniversary in 2024.

Donations can be made through their Facebook or website at kincardinelions.ca.

There is also a All-Wheels Park page on Facebook as well.

Donations made through the Municipality of Kincardine, directed to the “All-Wheels Park” will receive a tax receipt.
