Kincardine partnering with The Walker House on Legacy of Hope Exhibits in June

Exhibits on display starting on June 9th are part of National Indigenous History Month are available at the Welcome Centre and The Walker House in Kincardine.

The Municipality of Kincardine has partnered with The Walker House to host three ground-breaking exhibits from the Legacy of Hope as part of National Indigenous History Month in June.

They are meant to create awareness of the residential school system, promote healing and encourage acts of reconciliation.

On display from June 9th to September 3rd visitors can the two locations; the first at the Welcome Centre in the Kincardine Centre for the Arts at 707 Queen Street which is hosting “Youth on Reconciliation – Imagine a Canada” and the Walker House at 235 Harbour Street which is hosting “Remembering, Honouring, and the Way Forward” and “Killing the Indian in the Child”.
