Kincardine set for Garlic Mustard Challenge on May 13th & 27th at 1pm

Event at Geddes Park is meant to restore & protect natural ecosystems across town and encourage people to get outside on the land cand care for natural areas in a fun and engaging way.

The Municipality of Kincardine is set for the Garlic Mustard Challenge in efforts of keeping the invasive species from spreading in the area.

It is a collaborative effort to restore and protect natural ecosystems across town and the goal is to encourage people to get outside on the land cand care for natural areas in a fun and engaging way.

The event happens a Geddes Land Park on Saturday, May 13th or 27th at 1 pm.

If you can’t make either date you can pull the plant in your immediate trail & park area.

Remember to pick carefully from the base to remove the entire root, dispose of the flower end first into bags, do not leave pulled plants on the ground and do not ever compost it.

You can drop off bags at the Geddes Land Park Trail Head on Monday May 15th or 29th.
