Kincardine is welcoming a new physician heading into the summer.
Dr. Maimoona Altaf has signed a physician recruitment agreement, taking over the practice of Dr. Gary Gurbin once he retires on July 1st.
Dr. Altaf will assume the care of patients at the clinic supporting a smooth transition and continuity of care.
Dr. Altaf has already spent two years in Kincardine, building strong connections with patients and colleagues.
Mayor Kenneth Craig says the announcement reflects the collaborative efforts of many partners working together to support physician recruitment and long-term healthcare services in the municipality.
Dr. Altaf says she is committed to continuing the high standard of care established by Dr. Gurbin and ensuring a smooth transition during this change.
