Kitchener driver charged with impaired in Central Huron

Officers were contacted by a concerned citizen who reported a suspected impaired driver attempting to leave a London Road address in Central Huron the morning of Aug. 27th.

Huron County OPP have charged a Kitchener driver after a traffic complaint to police on last Sunday morning.

Officers were contacted by a concerned citizen at around 5:42 am who reported a suspected impaired driver attempting to leave a London Road address in Central Huron.

Police arrived on the scene minutes later and located a car matching the caller’s description.

Police spoke with the driver and determined that had consumed alcohol prior to driving.

The 38-year-old male faces charges of impaired operation and operation with a blood alcohol over 80 mg.

Their vehicle has been impounded for 7 days and their license suspended for 90.

They have been released and face a September 18th date in a Goderich court.
