The Lake Huron Coastal Centre shared images and word from an event held on Wednesday.

It saw Saugeen District Secondary Grade 11 biology class involved in a restoration day in the field.

They harvested and planted 1500 grasses to reinforce sand dunes at the Port Elgin Main Beach.

They advise that without sand dunes there would be no beaches. The Lake Huron Coastal Centre sent thanks for the help of the students from SDSS.
