The Lakeshore Triathlon, formerly the Kincardine Women’s Triathlon, has announced it is staying put in the Town of Saugeen Shores in 2024 and beyond.
Sarah Foster, Race Director at the event says they received overwhelming feedback from their race volunteers and participants to keep the race there and they are glad Saugeen Shores is willing to continue to host them.
Prior to 2023 the race had been run in Kincardine since 2001, missing only 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic.
Foster says they are grateful for the 20 years they were able to run the race in Kincardine.
She added the community was very supported over the years and they hope the race participants from the Kincardine community will continue to support them in Saugeen Shores.
Next year’s Triathlon will be at the Port Elgin main Beach on July 20th, 2024. Registration details will be made available soon.
