COVID is having an effect on adopting pets.

Donna Stephens Coughlin is the operator of Allies for Alley Catz, a local cat rescue and shelter based in Ripley.

Like other not-for-profits, the pandemic has made things difficult for Allies for Alley Catz to raise money and Coughlin says it has been tough the last couple of years.

Coughlin says she has used her Facebook page to help get cats find new homes.

Anyone interested in making a donation can do it by e-transfer to alliesforalleycatz@hotmail.com.
