A local Goderich resident has made it her mission to make sure unhoused residents of the community have all the necessities that they need in their lives.

The Goderich Free Little Pantry will see various sites around Goderich see small pantries installed at Victoria Street Park, Goderich Library and John O’Keefe Park.

Town Council recently voted in providing approval for the pantries to be installed at key locations around the community.

Founder Avery Greaves says it will be more than food available at these locations.

“Food will kind of be the whole foundation of it. Though, it could include anything someone could be in need of, like toiletries. This time next year we could be school supplies. In the colder months we could include hats, and mitts and scarves.”

If anyone in the Goderich area is looking to donate items to the Free Little Pantry they can find the list of needed items of the Month at their Facebook page.

Items can be donated at the Goderich Library.
