Local unemployment continues to be lowest in Ontario

The Four County Labour Market Planning Board says the economic region saw its lowest unemployment rate of the year in October at 2.3 per cent.

The report from the Planning Board says they haven’t been able to find a number this low, looking as far back as 2006.

Low unemployment has been a major issue across Perth, Huron, Grey and Bruce which again see’s another month were the regions rate is the lowest in the province.

The board launched a survey for employers in the region, funded by both the federal and provincial governments, designed to look into challenges and opportunities within the workforce locally.
