The deadline to register is approaching for the Lots of Socks campaign being put on by Community Living Kincardine and District.
The initiative is done in advance of World Down Syndrome Day that happens on Friday, March 21st.
Assistant Director of Community Living Catherine Evans speaks to how the initiative came about.
“The Lots of Socks Campaign is actually a global campaign that is put on by Downs Syndrome International.
And what they do every year is they have a campaign that they use socks for and they encourage each community to participate in an event that resonates in that community.
In our community we do a Lots of Socks Window Display.”
To register your Lots of Socks Window Display to have a chance at the Golden Sock Award in March you can visit Community Living Kincardine and District on Facebook. The deadline is February 6th.
