Lucknow Kinsmen want to return to hosting tractor pull

  • This story has been corrected. An earlier version incorrectly stated that the event would be held in July rather than June

The Lucknow Kinsmen is looking to bring the tractor pull back to the community, after years of holding the event in Dungannon.

Members of the Kinsmen presented a proposal to Huron-Kinloss council, suggesting that Graceland would be an excellent host site for the pull moving forward, to allow for growth, increased camping and more reliable cell coverage.

Since 2000, the Super Pull has been held at the Dungannon fair grounds, but it won’t be returning there this summer, having outgrown the property.

The Kinsmen requested to host the event on June 15-17 next summer, as well as exemptions to the noise by-law and permission for a liquor licence. Council has taken their suggestion under advisement.
