A Lucknow man has plead guilty for failing to comply with conditions of his commercial bait-fish license.

Adam Mujanovic will be fined $2000 with a Rouyn-Noranada man also being fined for failing to stop a conservation officer and unlawfully buying bait fish for commercial purposes.

The court heard on February 8th 2021 a conservation officer was on his way for snowmobile patrol on Lake Nipissing when he noticed a person transferring Emerald Shiners from one vehicle container to another.

The Rouyn-Noranda man saw the officer and tried to flee but was arrested.

Mujanovic who sold the shiners failed to follow several conditions of his license which are put in place to ensure disease is not transmitted to other fish through the use of bait fish.
