The Maitland Valley Conservation Authority has issued a flood outlook for all municipalities in the Maitland and Nine Mile River watersheds.

The cold temperatures and snowfall has resulted in above average snowpack across the watersheds.

During a snow survey conducted on Friday, Maitland Conservation staff recorded snow water equivalent measurements ranged from 90-170mm with higher amounts seen in the northern regions and lower amounts in the south.

The current forecast calls for some warmup with rain and while its not expected to make enough runoff to result in flooding, temperatures could forecast back to freezing.
