A 59 year old man is facing charges who almost hit a cop at a ride program.
On August 16th at around 7:37pm Grey Bruce OPP was setup for a ride program at the intersection of Second Avenue North and Third Avenue North in Sauble Beach.
During the initiative, a white BMW entered the check and after an interaction the driver fled the scene at a high rate of speed, narrowly missing an officer.
Police later arrested the suspect at a nearby home.
The 59 year old man of Sauble Beach was charged with Dangerous Operation, Flight from Peace Officer and Resisting an Officer.
The accused will appear in court next month.
