Dr. Kieran Moore, the province’s Chief Medical Officer of Health has taken over of the Board of Health for the Grey Bruce Health Unit.
This all came after municipal representatives received letters from the Chair that they’d no longer be a part of the board.
Dr. Moore stepped in, appointing a special advisor to support the board and further all municipal appointees were informed they would remain with the board of health.
In a joint statement from Bruce County and Grey County they say while recent actions regarding the board were unexpected, Bruce and Grey Counties are committed to supporting the Board of Health as they work with the Ministry of Health to ensure residents receive the quality public health services they need and deserve.
