Man charged with damaging election signs in Owen Sound

A Grey County man is facing charges after being caught damaging and removing election signs in and around Owen Sound.

Police went to a 900 block of 16th Street East Monday night around 11:30.

An investigation resulted in the arrest of a 44-year-old man.

He was released with a June 30th court date in Owen Sound.

Police are reminding the public that it is a criminal offense to remove, damage, or interfere with any property that they have no ownership of and that includes election signs.
