Mask mandate lifted in most public settings

Masks will no longer be required in most of Ontario’s public spaces as the government turns public health measures into more of a personal choice.

Hospitals, long term care and public transit are among some areas where masking will still be required to near the end of April.

Premier Doug Ford says people are tired of COVID-19 measures such as masking and vaccine mandates and said it was time they be lifted though he adds people should still wear a mask if they do not feel safe.
