There’s been another measles exposure in Grey Bruce this time in Markdale.

The exposure took place April 29th at the South East Grey Community Health Centre from 2:25-3pm.

The exposure window is considered from 2:25-5pm as the measles virus can live in the air on surfaces for up to two hours after an infected person leaves the area.

Grey Bruce Public Health says vaccination is the best defence against measles as one dose of a vaccine is about 85 to 95 per cent effective at preventing measles with two doses rising to nearly 100 per cent.
