UBC Local 2222 in Kincardine has made a $10,000 donation to four food banks across Grey, Bruce, Huron and Perth Counties.
The donation of $2500 to each selected food bank will help ongoing challenges faced by families in multiple communities and support the critical role food banks play in providing essential support.
The Salvation Army Food Bank in Grey County, the Kincardine Ministerial Food Bank in Bruce County, the Huron County Food Bank and Stratford House of Blessing are the listed recipients of the donations.
Ryan Plante UBC Local 2222 Coordinator says they hope the donation will be help some of the challenges faced and reinforced the importance of solidarity during times of need.
