As the consultation process continues on the Secord Monument in Kincardine, the municipality is reminding residents to engage in the process professionally.
The consultation is taking place with concerns being raised on one of the monuments to Secord’s service to the Confederate Army during the American Civil War.
The municipality says copies of all comments made are being shared with the facilitator of the process and hateful comments made can take a mental toll on the audience and staff who are responsible for keeping the conversation healthy.
