Murder Charges laid in case of Investigation of Two Suspicious Deaths

An 18 year old from Morris-Turnberry has been charged with two counts of Second Degree Murder and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000.

The Huron County OPP Crime Unit have now laid murder charges against an accused in connection with two suspicious deaths last week near Brussels.

Police and Huron County Paramedics responded to the scene at approximately 4pm last Wednesday and located two deceased on the property.

The deceased have been identified as Beverly Stevenson, age 69 and Darwin Ducharme, age 65, both residents of Huron East.

On Friday, April 1st the Huron County OPP with assistance from the Tactics & Rescue Unit, Emergency Response and Regional Support Team arrested a family member in connection with their deaths.

An 18 year old from Morris-Turnberry has been charged with two counts of Second Degree Murder and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000.

The accused remains in custody with a court appearance set for Wednesday, April 6th at a Goderich Court.

The incident is being investigated by the Huron County OPP Crime Unit, under the direction of the Criminal Investigation Branch and in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario.
