Several agencies across Owen Sound will gather on December 6th to mark the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women.

The annual vigil will recognize the 14 women who were murder at L’Ecole Polytechnique on December 6th 1989 in what has become known as the Montreal Massacre.

Everyone is invited to the vigil starting at noon at the Owen Sound Farmers Market to mourn those we have lost and call for action to create safety for all.

Organizers encourage those attending to dress for the weather as the vigil will take place outdoors.
