The Huron County Museum has launched a new mural by an Anishinaabe artist.
Jeanette Ladd from Saugeen First Nation in the Saugeen Ojibway Territory is a graduate from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture.
Ladd says throughout her life she always was drawn to expressing her thoughts and experiences through art.
In a release Ladd says through the mural she wants to show our love and respect for Mother Earth, Turtle Island is necessary to ensure there is a world for future generations.
A meet and greet with the artist will be held at the Museum on March 9th and to learn more about the mural showcased in the lobby.
