Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound MPP Paul Vickers says he’s excited to see a new Kindergarten to Grade 8 elementary school open its doors in Markdale.
The Bluewater District School Board hosted a grand opening ceremony on Thursday showcasing the Beavercrest Community School facility to community leaders.
The new school will accommodate 374 students which has been made possible with a $20.7 million investment from the province.
The new school opened its doors to students on March 17th with the school also including an on site childcare and EarlyON center to meet the growing demand for childcare services locally.
