The Town of Saugeen Shores has unveiled community inspired traffic control box murals.

Over the summer these new colourful additions have been made transforming eight traffic control boxes into public art murals.

The murals were done by three local artists, Sloane Hull, Jeannette Ladd and Rowan Stephenson.

Mayor Luke Charbonneau says the designs highlight the places, wildlife, and experiences that make Saugeen Shores special.

The traffic control box murals can be found at intersections on Highway 21, with five in downtown Port Elgin on Goderich Street and three in downtown Southampton on Albert Street.
