The Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre is kicking off a new virtual museum platform in partnership with Georgian College.
The interactive tool allows users to navigate through immersive 3D galleries and historical spaces, discover featured artifacts and exhibits and engage with interpretive content which showcases the history of Bruce County, culture and natural heritage.
In partnership with Georgian College, the platform uses Matterport, a leading 3D capture technology, typically used in real estate, architecture and cultural institutions.
Museum Director Cathy McGirr says with this partnership and use of technology will allow residents, educators, students and visitors to connect with collections and stories in a flexible, engaging way.
