Nine people have filed to be the next councilor in Kincardine.
The Ward 1 seat became vacant in the council chambers following the death of Doug Kennedy in August.
Applications were open to fill the seat until last Friday with nine applications coming in.
Each candidate will have the chance to make their case to council on November 6th and during that same meeting council will vote and fill the seat.
The new councilor will serve from this appointment until the next municipal election in 2026.
